I'm calling a mulligan — and I need you to hold me to it.

Hey {{first_name}},

I'll be straight with you — there's no podcast episode this week.

I got sick. Not "push through it" sick. The kind where your body just puts up a hand and says sit down. So I sat down.

But honestly, being sick wasn't the whole story. I also underestimated how much goes into producing an episode the right way. From the editing, the clips, to making sure the content actually lands. I have 24 episodes sitting in backlog that I had to go through one by one to make sure they're still relevant and worth your time. That took longer than I expected.

So this week I'm calling a mulligan. One. That's it. I'm not making a habit of this and I'm not going to dress it up as anything other than what it is: a week where life won and I'm choosing to be honest with you about it rather than just go quiet.

What I can promise you is this: next week's episode is coming and it's going to be worth the wait.

Coming Up Next Week — Forging the Foundation

On Thursday May 28th at 7pm I'm hosting a free webinar called Forging the Foundation. We're going to talk about what your ideal life actually looks like, the values driving your decisions, and how to set goals you'll actually keep.

Expect to spend an hour crafting what your life ACTUALLY looks and feels like. We will be doing practical application so you can walk away with something concrete to work on.

It's free. It's online. Reply to this email and I'll send you the link personally.

That's all I've got this week. Rest, recover, show up next week — that's the plan.

Talk soon,
Matt

The Rug Doesn't Lie
Good Morning {{first_name}}, There is one thing that men tend to do too often that leads to more complications. We don't have the hard conversations. We tell ourselves that if we just ignore it, we can keep the peace. And let's be honest, we already have enough in our heads and enough on our plates. Why would we deliberately add more to it? So we sweep it under the rug. Out of sight, out of min...
The one thing that kept me from going under
Good Morning {{first_name}}, When everything in your life is falling apart — what's the one thing you keep doing? Not because you feel like it. Not because someone told you to. But because somewhere deep down you know that if you stop doing that one thing, you might not find your way back. Everyone has one. And the one thing it is never — is isolation. I learned that lesson twice. The hard way ...
The best thing I did this Father's Day had nothing to do with being productive
Hey {{first_name}}, Happy belated Father's Day to every dad reading this. You may not always get the recognition, support and appreciation you deserve, but your children will always remember your presence. Not your productivity. Not your hustle. Your presence. You get to be the generation cycle breaker. The creator. That's hard work — changing patterns from previous generations into habits and ...
