I've Been Gone. Here's Where I Am Now
Hey {{first_name}},
I owe you an honest explanation before anything else.
The last email I sent you was in July. And then I went quiet.
I didn't plan it that way. But life had other plans. I went through something significant and personal that required me to step back and focus on my family, my kids, and myself. I won't go into the details because they're not mine alone to share, but I will tell you this: the season I walked through was one of the hardest of my life.
And it changed everything about why I do this work.
I came back to coaching not because things got easier, but because I know firsthand what it costs a man to carry something heavy alone. To keep showing up for everyone else while quietly falling apart on the inside. To rebuild your life from the ground up while still being a father, still being a leader, still being present.
I lived that. And I'm still standing.
So here's where things are now.
I recently left my career to pursue this full time. Choose to Live, Love & Grow is no longer a side project — it's the mission. And I've built something I'm genuinely proud of.
Here's what's happening:
The Forge — Men's Group. A weekly men's community built on accountability, honesty, and real brotherhood. We meet every Wednesday at 5pm online and every Friday at 5pm in person in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Forge exists because most men are carrying things they've never said out loud. We built a room where they finally can.
Leading Through the Storm — a 90 to 120 minute resilience workshop for organizations and leadership teams navigating burnout and pressure. Currently offering pilot engagements to three organizations.
The podcast is coming back in May. New episode, new chapter, same mission.
And a live webinar is coming on April 30th — Forge Your Foundation. Free. One hour. I'd love to see you there.
If any of this resonates, whether you're a man who needs a room like The Forge, or you lead a team that needs a session like Leading Through the Storm, then reply to this email. I read every response personally.
Thank you for still being here.
I don't take that lightly.
— Matt
