How Is Your Relationship With Food?

When was the last time you were asked this question? It's not a question we hear often or even ask ourselves often, but it begs the question: why not?

When you look at food, do you look at it as sustanance so you can continue your tasks at hand?

Maybe you look at it in a sense of indulgence, or a reward after a long day.

How should we look at it if we truly want to be the best version of ourselves?

These are the types of conversations Kiley Houck and I had on the latest episode of Choose to Live, Love & Grow.

When we look at nutrition and how to take care of our bodies, we can't just look at basic body info like weight, BMI, etc.  There needs to be more factors to consider such as how your body feels, when are you hungry, what is your beliefs/mindset around food, etc.

If you're curious about learning more about what mindful eating would look like, then check out Kiley's Beginner Guide to Mindful Eating.

Journal Prompt of the week

What food provides you with energy and also sustains the energy? What food feels good in the moment, but actually takes away your energy?

Enjoy your weekend, and don't forget to choose to live, love and grow.

We tell ourselves that if we just ignore it, we can keep the peace. And let's be honest, we already have enough in our heads and enough on our plates. Why would we deliberately add more to it? So we sweep it under the rug. Out of sight, out of min...
The one thing that kept me from going under
Good Morning {{first_name}}, When everything in your life is falling apart — what's the one thing you keep doing? Not because you feel like it. Not because someone told you to. But because somewhere deep down you know that if you stop doing that one thing, you might not find your way back. Everyone has one. And the one thing it is never — is isolation. I learned that lesson twice. The hard way ...
The best thing I did this Father's Day had nothing to do with being productive
Hey {{first_name}}, Happy belated Father's Day to every dad reading this. You may not always get the recognition, support and appreciation you deserve, but your children will always remember your presence. Not your productivity. Not your hustle. Your presence. You get to be the generation cycle breaker. The creator. That's hard work — changing patterns from previous generations into habits and ...
